City smarts Shsat single topic intensives
Fall 2026
For the past nine years, City Smarts has offered specialized single-topic intensives to help students tackle the most demanding aspects of the SHSAT. These sessions are designed for students who have already engaged in preparatory work and are seeking focused, advanced content review. Each week, students receive targeted instruction, hands-on strategy practice, and focused feedback to help them break through on the hardest math and reading challenges, all in small, in-person or live-online classes.
2026 sessions are available in two formats:
Sunday in-person (Brooklyn & Manhattan): Six 90-minute classes plus a mock test kickoff on September 20
Tuesday in-person & remote: Seven 75-minute classes, available at Hanover Square or online via Zoom

Curriculum aligned to the 2026 adaptive format.
Our topic sequence and pacing strategies are built for the computer-adaptive SHSAT, with specific attention to early-question accuracy, one-and-done answer discipline, and the tech-enhanced item types (drag-and-drop, multi-select, passage interaction) that now appear throughout both sections.
Session formats designed for depth.
Sunday sessions run 90 minutes — 75 minutes of focused instruction plus a 15-minute diagnostic — and include a full mock test kickoff on September 20. Tuesday sessions run 75 minutes with the same instruction-plus-diagnostic structure.
Rigorous, targeted enrichment.
This series is ideal for students who have already done a SHSAT course or tutoring cycle and are ready to go deeper. Small classes, expert instruction, and focused feedback every week.
