NORD ANGLIA TEST FOUNDATIONS CLINIC (2026)
City Smarts is proud to offer a test prep class designed specifically for the Nord Anglia community. Over 25 hours of instruction, students will build the foundational skills needed for success on the ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, or whichever admissions test they'll pursue this fall — including core content (math, vocabulary, and reading comprehension), advanced test-taking strategies, and time management and pacing techniques.
CURRICULUM
Spring Workshop: This clinic gives 7th graders a deep, content-level understanding of fall admissions testing. Each 75-minute class bridges 7th grade foundation-building and the 8th grade sprint to test day. We begin with test-taking strategies, time management, and content awareness, then layer in Upper Level ISEE & SSAT material alongside key high school entrance exams like the TACHS and SHSAT.
Fall Workshop: A 10-week fall extension deepens mastery of the SHSAT, ISEE, and SSAT through take-home tests and skills-building drills. In-class testing and weekly homework assignments are a feature of both the spring and fall sessions.

PARENT INFORMATION SESSION
Parents are welcome to attend an information session on Friday, March 6th at 11:30 AM. To receive attendance instructions, please contact Dominique Prince at Nord Anglia.
STUDENT ASSESSMENT
Students planning to participate will complete a mock assessment on Wednesday, March 11th. Group placement (eg. 1:1, 2:1, 3:1) will be recommended based on assessment results.
HOMEWORK & STUDENT EXPECTATIONS
We will be assigning homework at the conclusion of each lesson, and homework completion is required. We expect all students to treat one another with respect and to stay focused for the entirety of each lesson. Lastly, we hope to facilitate dynamic discussions about the ins and outs of these tests.

75 Minutes of Instruction
We believe that 75 minutes is an appropriate amount of time for lecture, discussion, and practice testing. Students will be encouraged to “use what they have learned” each class period.

City Smarts believes that the best way to conquer these tests is to actually learn the material and become confident in the test’s structure. Our instruction has a lasting impact that will serve your child in school and on subsequent standardized tests.

Diagnostics
Homework assignments are scored each week. Parents and students are provided score reports for each completed assignment.
