EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING & ORGANIZATIONAL COACHING

Executive dysfunction is a broad term that describes an individual who struggles with planning, organization, and time management. Executive dysfunction is common among neuroatypical students, especially those with ADD, ADHD, and dyslexia. However, any student may benefit from holistic coaching, as we've seen a significantly increased need for strengthening these skills in the post pandemic world in students across ages and learning profiles.

While it is a natural impulse to ask, “what did you learn?” we often gain deeper insights by asking “how did you learn?” Executive functioning and holistic, organizational coaching helps students develop better academic habits while empowering them to advocate for themselves.

Depending on the unique needs of each student, we’ll be prepared to tackle the following: motivation, time management, organization, study-skills, confidence, self-advocacy, sleep & screen hygiene, healthy habits & routines, & if applicable, stress busting and mindfulness techniques. We approach this work in partnership with our students, rather than being prescriptive. We've found that it's crucial that your child has a voice in the process as the ownership and buy-in component is as important as the work itself. From there we help our students and families set goals, build milestones, and scaffold each program appropriately for the tasks ahead. The intention of this program is to not only support your child getting back on track, but to cultivate crucial life skills that will last well beyond their time with our coach.

If you think your child might benefit from holistic guidance, we encourage you to give us a call.

Sincerely,

Danielle Florio
