BROOKLYN PROSPECT CHARTER ACT CLINIC (2023-24)
City Smarts is proud to offer a 10-week ACT clinic designed specifically for the Brooklyn Prospect Charter community. Through engaging lessons and weekly assignments, students will build confidence in the Reading, English, Science, and Mathematics sections of the ACT. By the end of the class, students will be prepared to take the February ACT.

PROCTORED MOCK ACT
For beginning the college admissions process, there is no better way to assess which test–the SAT or ACT–to take than sitting for a full length mock test.
For students already engaged in test preparation, mock testing gives them the chance to practice time management, build test endurance, and tackle test anxiety in a simulated testing environment.
City Smarts is offering a proctored mock ACT at BPC on Saturday, October 28th at 9am. While the mock test is included for students enrolled in our class, it is available to other BPC students (who may, for example, be assessing their interest in the ACT) for $25. All of our mock tests include a detailed score report and diagnostic.

90 Minutes of Instruction
We believe that 90 minutes is the ideal amount of time for ACT instruction: just the right length to keep your child engaged and motivated
FOUNDATIONAL FOCUS
We’ve opted for a foundational format rather than a kitchen-sink approach. We think a fall class / spring private prep or group sequence strikes the best possible balance between effectiveness and affordability.
CLASS CAPPED AT 15 STUDENTS
City Smarts keeps our classes much smaller than other companies in order to allow time for individual support.
Diagnostics & MILESTONES
City Smarts offers proctored mock tests several weeks per month at our classroom in Carroll Gardens and will also be offering a fall mock directly at BPC. By sitting for a mock exam before and after the session, students can measure their progress and direct future prep in the most meaningful possible way.
Who we are
City Smarts works with students in both one-on-one and workshop settings to ensure seamless transitions from middle school to high school, high school to college, and beyond. Our work is informed by the academic challenges students face both inside and outside the classroom. We work with students at a broad range of schools, and help students anticipate the curricula they’ll see in the years ahead. We have been working with students since 2007, some of whom are now college graduates.
Having worked with dozens of Brooklyn Prospect Charter families over the years in a private capacity, City Smarts is excited to bring our proven methods to the classroom environment.
