City Smarts 6-Hour AP Review SESSIONS
At the end of each academic year, students need to take what they learned in the classroom and apply it to the very unique formats of their AP exams.
Often, we get feedback from students like this: “My instructor had to race to finish teaching the course material,” or “We didn’t spend enough time focused on practice exam questions.”
With that in mind, we created workshops that are “test-driven” - informed by the format and content of the AP exams, and ones that help students take their curriculum knowledge directly to the format of the test.
We are offering another slate of these dynamic, workshops this year for the AP exams our students admit to being challenged by the most: US History, Computer Science, Calculus AB, and Biology. The goal is to help each student post a competitive AP score by breaking down the test and focusing on ways to maximize their scores.

90 Minutes of Instruction
We believe that 90 minutes is the ideal amount of effective instructional time for high schoolers: just the right length to keep your child engaged but not exhausted.
Clinic capped at 8 students
In order to maintain individual instruction time and encourage peer-learning, we have capped our classes at 8 students. While other companies pack their classes with up to 15 students, we feel that smaller classes facilitate a scholarly learning environment.
time management and test day strategies
Not only does City Smarts teach content, but we also devote time to pacing, overcoming test anxiety, and time management.
Diagnostics
Our course will allow students to take full-length exams at home in the weeks leading up to their test date, so we have a realistic sense of what their score potential will be.
